Can't Access Water Meter

* If you have a water bill it will show the meter serial number.
* When you buy a property this is one piece of information that your solicitor obtains from the sellers for you.
* Whoever let the property to you should be able to provide the meter serial number.
I'd have thought you would have obtained the meter number before gaining accessing to the meters.

With a bit of assistance from a neighbour we have managed to lift the manhole cover in the earlier picture. 
Inside the manhole cover there are four water meters. 
Now it's just a matter of working out whose meter is who's.

If you and your neighbours have water bills then you can match up the meter serial number with the bills.

Other way is to turn off all meter stop taps and then turn 1 on and see which house has running water and then do that to all 4 meters. You will have to have all 4 tenant's at their homes to do this though.

Also doing this will make sure you have the correct meter for your home as there have been threads on here where the meters were connected to the wrong homes.

The numbers on one of the meters should match the meter number on your bill.
