Wifi calling on Tesco Mobile PAYG
Tesco use the O2 network. O2 don't currently offer WiFi calling to their PAYG customers, which I assume is why Tesco don't offer this service.
I believe O2 will offer this service to its own customers by the end of the year. Does this mean it will also be available with Tesco.

As I understand it, customers need to be migrated to a new system which is happening as areas switch off 3G. When that happens customers in that region will have access to WiFi Calling and VoLTE.
If you login into your Tescomobile account there should be a message about 3G.0 -
Tesco Mobile currently offer Wifi Calling for Pay Monthly customers only.

I appreciate that, but is it through choice or due to the limitations of the O2 network?0 -

In any case, O2 are currently rolling out 4G calling and WiFi calling (and 5G evidently) to their own PAYG customers as we speak, while Giffgaff have had all three for a while now.
With that in mind, I suspect that if Tesco are going to do it it'll need to be by the end of the year.0 -

Choice, of a sort. All the of 'cheapies' like GiffGaff, Lebara, Tesco Mobile only use the masts of the O2 or Vodafone infrastructure. The Mobile Core Networks used are very much simpler (and hence cheaper) for the Mobile Virtual Network Operators which is why features such as wifi-calling, Voice over 4G, iPhone-specific features etc. are often missing or unrelaible.0
