Suddenly I cannot withdraw money from Paypal
Comments

I'm so relieved it's not just me. I have been worrying the last couple of days as I need to withdraw money and iwon't let me. Same as everyone else, saying my bank supposedly doesn't accept transfers despite me using my paypal and withdrawing for years. I'm with halifax.
I did see something briefly on the news earlier about paypal being hacked or something so wonder if it's related to that but fingers crossed it gets sorted out soon as I need the money0 -
Same here also … I use PP for monies earned from surveys, yesterday I withdrew £ from Prolific > PP > Starling, with no problem. I’ve just tried to do the same and the Prolific funds went to PP with no problem, but all of my banking options are now in a cannot use section when I tried to move it across to the bank. I tried to set up again using a Halifax account as an alternative, but it tells me Halifax is already set up (yet it won’t let me use it)
Hope it’s just a temporary glitch rather than a full on hacking problem, but for the time being I’m reassured by others’ comments here, thanks for sharing and hope we’re all able to get sorted soon.~ * ~ "A goal without a plan is just a wish" Antoine de Saint Expuery ~ * ~

There is a known global problem with paypal funds transfer going on at present. No news reports, even Paypal themselves are not mentioning it. Only customers through social media are bringing it to light. When questioned Paypal have no answer to when it will be resolved. My advice would be, do not keep any large amounts of money in Paypal. They are not a bank and therefore do not come under the same rules and regulations as banks do.
Anyone running a business using them, like an ebay business is going to have their funds tied up in paypal unable to transfer until this gets resolved.
What I don't like is the lack of transparancy of Paypal not notifying customers of the problem, and it only coming to light via customers reporting it on social media.
Itsctimecthey released a statement of what is going on, and when the problem will be fixed!0 -
Having the same problem.
Have now turned off paypal as a payment option on my website as they have no idea when it will be resolved!0
