Sounds like it was transferred to the wrong court. Did your choice of court also start with a C?

Email AND ring Canterbury Court next week (not yet) once they have the file, and tell them this is an allocation error, etc.

How lovely. Ignore them. Or for fun, take the call and tell them to F off & get a real job.

Did you complain & get the case sent to your court now?

yeah I called the court but they said there is nothing they can do currently as the case is being reviewed. Said I need to call back once it goes to the next stage and they might be able to move it then. They fully acknowledged what I put on the paperwork though and there is just about every court in the wider radius of London between me and where they have allocated me.

I have now received the attached letter informing me my case will be heard in small claims court in August with court fees due to be paid by mid-July. The court has also offered another mediation service which I would need to phone about tomorrow.

I have separately received an email from DCB Legal now offering me to settle out of court for 50% of the total outstanding sum, circa £260.

is there anything else I need to do just now or should I still just sit tight until closer to the date court fees are due? Can I just ignore DCB Legal’s email or should I reply?

DCB have been harassing me with calls just about every day for the past 3months with an auto-message saying they want to talk to me. Very annoying!

    thanks again for any help

Great, that'll never be needed because DCB Legal won't pay the hearing fee in July.

Twiddle your thumbs. No ringing up anyone about Mediation. Sit tight.

email received today, with notice of discontinuance! Woop woop!

They attach their letter/email to the court notifying them of that fact. Is there anything else I need to do my end?

thanks so much again for everyone’s help, greatly appreciated.
