Vodafone continued charging my Pay Monthly after I moved to PAYG

My Vodafone Pay Monthly Contract ended 9th July 2024. I asked them to move it to PAYG.
On 13th August 2024 my PAYG Simply plan was activated and I was buying their £10 Big Value Bundle, each month. Then this year 2025 we were planning on moving house all was going well when we got a call from the back saying we had defaulted of 6 payments to Vodafone. I knew this was wrong as I'm currently with Tesco Mobile. I phoned Vodafone and explained My last Bill was on 9th September 2024 which was a refund (-£36.55) for money they had overcharged me in the August 2024 Bill. After about 20 mins on the phone speaking to various people the man Dali, said he had checked and the Contract had not stopped for a month over meaning I was billed an additional 1 month for Pay Monthly While Simultaneously being on Pay as You Go. Impossible you would think, but not when It comes to Vodafone apparently. Dail said he tried to remove it but could not so he would get his manager to do it. After another 25 mins on the phone. He said his manager had removed the bill and it would show as cleaned on my account after 48 to 72 hours. That was 5 days ago and it still has not been removed. We cannot get a mortgage all because Vodafone, tried to bill me for both a Pay Monthly Account and a Pay as you go account on the same mobile number at the same time. I now Still have the same number but with Tesco Mobile. So I don't understand how this has only shown up now and not when I ported my number over to Tesco Mobile 4 months ago.
How can I clear this false bad debt on Experian caused by Vodafone.

I take it you are referring to a unpaid marker through the CRA'S. They take longer that 48 to 72 hours to update (sounds like internal marker). Vodafone have to inform them all & can take a month at least to update.
Most mobile contracts have a 30 day cancelation period.Life in the slow lane0
