Vodafone price higher than on price comparison sites

All price comparison sites include MSE state that the Vodafone 500 mbps full fibre deal is £27 a month for the first year, however when I actually want to sign up it's suddenly £31 a month. Does anyone know why? Am I missing some hidden £4 discount?

Are you clicking through from the comparison site to the Vodafone site? Going direct to the Vodafone site won't (necessarily) give you the same price as the comparison sites.

It's possible it's an add on. I've been looking at the new prices for my phone and there's a deal at £12 that would suit me but when I go through to agree to it it changes to £13.50 due to them adding on scam protection of some sort. I've been told by them (ee) that I can sign up for this and have that removed immediately without ever paying for it. It says addons are £0. I might just continue with Sky then, the deal ending today is effectively the same price anyway, just with a yearly uplift that's not priced in.0
