So we can now watch ITV without adds having paid for a year add free.
But is there a simple annual payment to give us all the other channels, 4, 5, etc. add free with one annual payment?

    £39.99/year with Channel 4+
No ad free option for Channel 5
Not sure what you mean by ...etc, what other channels are you looking to watch ad free?

You'd need to list the channels/streaming services you are interested in... some do, some dont. Dont think someone is going to go through the hundreds of options out there especially if you're also considering services from overseas.

Some are a mixed lot too... with Peacock for example you can pay to not have ads on streaming shows/films inc live events but there is no option to remove the ads from the streamed version of the cable channels

5OD shows adverts, you cannot subscribe to avoid them
You can pay for 4OD to remove them. https://www.channel4.com/plus

Amazon Prime now comes with "limited" ads as standard. You can pay extra to have it completely ad free.

However to be fair the "limited" ads are vastly less than say ITVX.

An alternative for the broadcast freeview channels is to record on a HD recorder then fast forward through them.

I bought a nice HUMAX HD freeview recorder s/h on Gumtree for twenty quid!

Thanks all, was just wondering...  We used to record and fast forward adds but now only stream through Virgin so can't record at all.

I record the programmes I want to watch on my Humax PVR. It has a 30 seconds skip button which nicely avoids the torture of today's infantile advertising. Usually 4 x 30 seconds is spot on.

This is why my Virgin box went back after one day a few months ago and I'm sticking with my Sky Q box for as long as Sky let me!

Youtube Premium is ad-free, and they are trialling a feature that allows skipping of in-video ads and ad reads.   Where selected programs from C4 and C5 are available on YTP, these also play ad-free.

My problem with recording is that we now have no way of getting a cable from the modem to the TV so that is why we use Virgin stream.
