Moorside LBC

Just checking that my approach is the letter from the newbies section?

Yes and no.
See other Moorside threads this month. That's actually a false LBC, a precursor to Moorside's longer version. You can either respond now or wait for their next LBC 'bus' ... and only then get on this ride!
While you wait, we need you:
PLEASE bookmark this thread below and do Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet. See this thread: -We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.
We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.
I'm taking a closer look this week and we'll walk you through it. I should have all the first post 'how to respond to each question' advice ready by the end of this week.
There are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people won't think of/need focus. There won't be a template - the survey is for you to reply in your words - but we'll help everyone with what to focus on.

Thank you @Coupon-mad. More than happy to look at the public consultation you've highlighted.
I've since established that the fines went to an old address back In 2022. Can I please check that my approach would be to send them the letter template, and to fight this?
TIA1 -
Correct, deal with a proper Letter of Claim and the inevitable court claim when they actually arrive in the post
Definitely not fines, just invoices from the private parking company1 -
Thank you.
I'm torn as I could do without attending court right now (both my parents are very ill) ...and also fighting this to the bitter end.
Do you know when the point of no return is for it to then become a court case?

That point is when the claimant or their lawyers issue an N1SDT claim via MCOL and the CNBC in Northampton post it out to you
Court hearings, if they actually take place, are typically 6 to 15 months after the claim is issued, so next year at the earliest
If you email the LoC response to Moorside Legal then they should wait a month or two before they issue the court claim, not with the letter above but an actual Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice and with financial forms2 -

No worries. There is no point of no return!
I hope you'll fit in the Consultation but I see you have more on your plate so wishing you well. Get on with the important things in life.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
