debt collectors and the pub cancelling PCN

I want to mention i've tried looking at some of the posts and the FAQ but after recieving a debt collector's letter yesterday i've done nothing but stress, panic, breakdown and going 100000mph like a headless chicken and not had any sleep so i do apologise if i've glossed over information.

The pub i go to has euro car park monitoring their carpark. There's a terminal where you punch in your reg when you enter but i must have missed it on this occasion and have forgotten to do so in the past. It's a big enough problem for the regulars that you'd simply hand the PCN letter to the bar and they say they have the ability to cancel the PCN via an app. They've done this for me in the past, friends and many others and not had anything more come of it. But in this instance, they may have forgotten to do the one i believe i confident that i must have handed the PCN to the pub back in Feb. I never received any other letter from euro car park since so i assumed it was taken care of like the others. If i did it's a simple enough matter to just go to the pub and they will cancel it!

Come yesterday i get the debt collectors letter, it has the PCN number on the letter so i go to the pub who isnt sure about cancelling it since it's now with the collectors, but they went into the app to cancel the PCN based on the PCN number on the letter and i have a photo of their app confirming it was successful. I tried calling the debt collectors to let them know (i only found this site today so i know i broke the rule to not contact them) and tried to explain to them that the pub has a system to cancel these PCNs but they're so adamant it's impossible for them to cancel ANY PCNs. They wouldn't check with euro car park either and i've written to euro car park to double check what the collectors have said. But from my thinking about this situation, if the pub is able to cancel the PCNs issued from their carpark, there's no longer any outstanding debt to be collected since they've now canceled it, but euro car parks website says i need to contact the collectors and really finding it tough to contact euro car park just to confirm the situation. It doesn't make sense that no one wants to confirm if the debt is even there as i'm getting conflicting information and unsure where to turn too just to get any sort of reliable information about the PCN.

Thanks in advance!

Quick edit: The terminal to add your car reg is for free parking and you add it once and it's free parking for the day.

You had no debt only an alleged debt, debt collectors are slippery eels that make up anything to get money, they have lied to you.

No your wasting your time with drp. They say so much rubbish like saying the parking firm cant deal with the case at the same times its with DRP and they wont reply
Email COL@Eurocarparks.com and tell them its been cancelled by their client
I'm surprised they can so freely say whatever they want to get people to pay without any consequence. Thank you very much for that email address and i'll give it a go now!
If you're still around, may i ask where you got this email address? and what department col is? I couldn't find ANY email addresses for eurocarparks at all online and looking on this forum it seems to be a common theme.

Yes I have had the same PCN from a pub when forgot to use the login system. I went into the pub and they cancelled it as you say. The bit I don't understand is that you have had no PCN from Eurocarparks. I would ask for the debt collects for the original invoice(PCN) and and refuse to pay until they produce it (disclosure), odds are they don't have it.

I've sent the email off and my email tracker has said it's been opened and viewed but haven't had a response. I haven't had any yes or no from Eurocarparks yet. I'm wondering what potential next steps are, do i just wait to hear back via email or would be next response be a letter saying i'll be taken to court. Their lack of communication makes resolving matters so much harder.
