What's going on with Octopus statements?

When I first joined Octopus last year they used to send a single monthly statement covering electricity imports and exports along with gas.
Around three months ago electricity and gas statements started coming separately. This month they've separated exports too so I've had three statements.
It's no big deal but some joined-up account management would be nice!

I still get one statement covering both gas and electricity.0

Often it’s because they don’t get your full meter readings at billing time, or some data is missing . My export was missing 1 day and I asked them to pull i and got the statement that day.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Mine was always bang on the same day of the month, every month, one bill to cover both gas and electricity. Then I added export and it’s been awful ever since. Not one month where I get a timely single bill.
I get the impression that their export readings are incredibly flaky.1 -
It seems to be an inherent problem with Octopus. They sent me apparently random part-month bills for July and they can't explain why. The person I spoke to said she could see they were system generated but couldn't see what the trigger was.

Similarly, I got a bill every month until I started exporting. I got an export account, a month or so ago, going back to when my export MPAN became active but not a dicky bird on imports over the same period. I'm not too concerned as I can see where I am on my usage page, with a credit building ready for the winter months.paradigital said:Mine was always bang on the same day of the month, every month, one bill to cover both gas and electricity. I'm wondering if submitting a manual reading, for imports, might trigger something.0 -
always had bills on the 3rd, both on one bill.
this month got Gas only on the 3rd, E followed days later. no issue. however looking at my account a couple of days ago the DD had been changed, they must have done an Assessment but based it only on the Gas use, before issuing the E bill, only a 3rd of what it should be, so i've manually upped the DD back to what it was.
might be worth checking DD's.0 -
I have had a couple of paper statements which is odd all previously having been on line0

I have a relative whose gas and electric are on different bills this month, one day apart. No change in tariffs or export involved.0

Nothing changed with regards my DD. However I have noticed that where the app used to say “request a refund” it now says “why can’t I request a refund”, and the further detail suggests a problem with my smart meter.pfpf said:always had bills on the 3rd, both on one bill.

Of course there are no issues with my meter, the readings are all appearing in the app fine, and my Octopus Mini is happily reporting both live and 5-minute data without issue. Customer service is also adamant that my meter is fine. My account hasn’t been in debit this year at all, and currently sits at 4x average monthly bill in credit. By my calculations I’ll be at a good 7-8x average monthly bill come January.
Something has massively changed in the last 3 months, and not for the better.0 -
I've always put the slightly different dates occasionally down to the fact that I don't have a smart gas meter & I have maybe been a little slower in the day entering my gas reading. So far my electric readings have been on the same bill but that only started in March. I wondered if some of the problem was to do with the amount ofgem are insisting they have as a "reserve" & I am sure Octopus didn't have enough. If I carry on with the same DD I am on, I suspect by spring my DD will be 1p, but as I am new to solar I am not rocking the boat. With a full year under my belt things could well change.0
