Been with sky for many years, my contract ends on 19 September.
I have Sky Broadband Superfast and Sky Talk Anytime Extra
I have Sky Broadband Superfast and Sky Talk Anytime Extra
"67.0 Mbps Average Download Speed, Unlimited Downloads. Includes Line Rental".
They want to increase it from £58 to £63/month.
Can I do better than this? I rarely use my landline now so not making any use of the "talk anytime".
Many thanks for any moneysaving suggestions.

Sky where advertising 100mb for £21 on their site.
Use MSE broadband finder on here or do a comparison on uSwitch or others to get a price.
It depends on what is available at your address for speed and prices and VoIP calls.
When you find a price call Sky and ask if they can beat it and if not go to who you want and use the he switch process and do not cancel sky phone/calls 1st.1 -
Just the broadband? (& phone)
that’s a terrible offer.I ditched my sky landline a few months ago. We unplugged the phone about 6 months ago and didn’t miss it. (We only ever got spam calls on it plus a few from family who knew our mobile numbers anyway)
you might need to still pay like rental for what sounds like a traditional copper line - but that’s all being phased out soon0 -

For me, the only speed offered is 67 Mbps for SKY broadband only (no phone line or TV) £26 per months for first 24 months (subject to inflation changes) and then £46 per month (which will have increased by then for inflation).
The best thing the OP can do is use a comparison site to identify the best deals available for them and then switch. It seems as though loyalty does not pay.

Have a look at the deals with telephone https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/compare-broadband-deals/If you need anytime calls I think Vodafone do it for £8 or so but check the T&Cs as always.Moving should be very easy if you're out of contract and you should have no need to contact Sky. They will send you a 'sorry to hear you go' email or letter and that's that.Do not go with a company you've never heard of.The price you're paying should be reported as a hostage incident.

Many broadband providers offer a contract initially in the £20 to £30 region, then bump up the price significantly when the contract ends (often 2 years). One door to door salesman offering broadband that started at £29/month suggested if I were to take up their offer, to phone them and haggle when they bumped up the price! That particular BB company typically charges £50+ per month after the initial offering. This is being typed via mobile broadband that costs us £14/month for unlimited use on a pre-paid and throw away SIM from Scancom via Amazon. The speed this morning (10:36) on EE is a measured 98 Mb/s down and 5 Mb/s upload. We are not far from an EE base station, some may prefer the "security" of a traditional fibre broadband, we prefer to save money. We have another property with a £6/month pre-paid SIM that suffices for remote alarm and occasional use that is limited to 50 GB per month, again EE from Scancom.I appreciate that mobile broadband is not for everyone and can involve a costly router, but for technically minded money savers (or boat/caravan/holiday home people) it can be a good choice.0
