Why do you say I didn't agree to pay £24 for 12 months. That's what happened when I agreed it with their representative.  The salesman!
Do you have a record of this, eg. a voice recording of your conversation where the salesman states unequivocally that your price will be fixed for 24 months?

I agree that the contract terms shared in this thread say they can vary the price and that, if they increase it, you can leave early with no exit fee.

For the last time @Blighted you agreed a MINIMUM TERM contract, not a FIXED PRICE contract, there is a clear difference in the wording from Now.

Prices may increase, including during the minimum term, unless we have agreed a fixed price with you.  We will let you know of any material change in advance.

Just post the contract confirmation to show us that you agreed a FIXED PRICE for 24 months and then we'll all support your assertion that you have been done over.
  • ....and also, it's wise to time any switch/ new contract to accomodate when a provider does their price hikes. It is known that some do them april, sky/ now is July.
The sky contracts are very simple in reality. Everyone should be reading t&cs before commiting to these contracts.

I had the same frustration with NOW TV Broadband. “Fixed” really doesn’t mean fixed. They hit me with a mid-contract rise too, and OFCOM’s stance felt like a cop-out. Sadly, switching providers was the only real option. I ended up bundling broadband with BritBox for streaming, which at least softened the blow a bit.

I think you fail to see the bonus in being able to switch when notified of SKY/ NOW price hikes. The other providers tell you up front what the increases will be so no option to leave to get a better deal with them.

That's because, like the OP, you fail to understand the difference between a fixed term & a fixed price contract. Unless you have evidence that yours was a fixed price?

Now has never done "fixed price" anything.  https://www.nowtv.com/terms/broadband - "Prices may change during contracts".

Although to be honest if people read things properly forums like these would either be totally dead or not exist... :)
