deleting programs/apps from Android Samsung

    If Samsung's UI is the same as most, long press on the app icon and UNINSTALL should be one option in the menu that pops up.

    thanks but that doesn't work. I have (where?) seen a complete list of everythng on there with the option to uninstall

    Try long press on the app and start moving it towards the top of the screen.
    Uninstall should appear and you drag it there.

    Some cannot be uninstalled, only disabled.

    if you go to settings you should see a list of all the apps.  you may be able to uninstall them from there.
