It's funny how some places have signs saying they prefer cash to avoid bank costs. This post highlights that cash isn't the free option it's sometimes made out to be.
I'd think pretty much everyone now has card payment available. My parents are all in their early to mid 80s and have been using cards for years. I doubt anyone in that age range now wouldn't have experienced using them before. 20 years ago it would have been a different matter for someone of that age.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1 -

I doubt anyone in that age range now wouldn't have experienced using them before. 20 years ago it would have been a different matter for someone of that age.Well they can't put the real reason can they(Courtesy of Viz magazine)Cards started becoming mainstream in the 80s and 90s, I was using a credit card back in the 70s - I had an Access card and that ceased to exist in 1991 !I was also using a computer in the 70s, not as a geek but as part of my everyday job with an oily spanner in one hand and a magnetic strip card in the other.The vast majority of those "oldies" that will not use a card or modern payment methods do it by choice, not by lack of ability.
