Better the devil you know, perhaps check the flights with Jet2 and their terms and conditions and go with them.

Agreed, I would sooner pay a few quid extra than use Ryanair.

to confuse you even more; why not use different companies for each flight?
www.skyscanner.com will help you to do this and it makes no difference apart from allowing you flexibility and the chance for an absolute bargain.

i have done this before a few years ago. i flew out with jet2 and back with easyjet. had no problems and also because i flew back with easyjet from nice i booked from easyjet in french and paid in euros... which was cheaper than doing it from the english side in pounds!

i would just like to say thank you to everyone you have all been a great help. i have chosen to go with jet2 tho... i so very nearly chose ryanair but just kept getting this niggling feeling so as the poster said earlier, better the devil you know and i have flown with jet2 before and know them; therefore this year i will probably be delayed or cancelled lol oh well it is done now.

    thank you all :)

Ryanair cut all corners possible to get you there on time. This helps bring their costs down, and therefore the customer pays less too. However, if anything goes wrong, my experience is that they'll be absolutely no help to you whatsoever (even in comparison to other cheap airlines).

We've just travelled with Easyjet and having small children was tricky, as seats aren't allocated. They had to re-arrange people to seat us together. We've just booked with Jet2 as we can select seats.

I'd rather pay a few quid extra to be able to book seats. If just me and hubby I wouldn't be bothered.

Ive flown with Ryanair twice last year (2007) and several tines previously. Never had a problem at all, I even missed a flight back fom ireland (my fault) and they got me on the next one back. They have never cancelled a flight on me or caused me any trouble whatsoever, if you book your bags online and turn up ontime you can't go wrong.
