How to remove this 'notched' watch strap?

Options
Hi.
I thought I'd read how to do this, but I'm struggling to find the link again. I understand the pin was unscrewed - ie one of the wee pin finials would unscrew off. But I've held one end spun and spun and spun t'other...
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Are you sure there isn’t a sprung pin, like most watch straps?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

No idea. But these visible end blobs turn. You reckon these could be just decoratively stuck on, and there's a normal sprung pin in the strap itself?
    Will check...

    It’s a possibility. :)

Ah, but between what two points would the springed pin sit? :-(

Are the round bits on the end of each bar completely solid, or is there a pinhole sized hole in either one of each pair?

Or, do the round bits pull off, perhaps?

    I'll check this morn.
    Thanks.

I can see what looks like a 'gap' on the bottom left between the blob and the shank that goes through the strap.

It's usually a sprung lug where you can pull on 2/3rds from end of the lug to pull the spring down, releasing the other end from it's hole.
Can't see any others like this and would expect it to be the same, just fancier.
The lug may be inside the fancy casing or it might be the casing itself.

Do you know a watch mender who could tell you what that sort of decorative fixing is called?
That would help with the search.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

No disrespect to your watch but remember my parents being offered a "diamond ladies watch" in exchange for sitting through a sales pitch. My mother imagined something like:
    Cartier diamond watch online

But what they got was something very similar to yours... it was a nice watch but the single spec of diamond at 12 o'clock was not what she was hoping for.

Was going to ask for more pictures but found other photos online; can only assume the ends must come off but it's a guess if they unscrew, pull off etc. If you say they free spin wonder if they are like pill bottles where you need to compress and turn them so they actually unscrew rather than spin

Ha-ha, I have a cousin who used to tell me of his brother's time-share-selling antics, and that was one of them. Nasty. They'd show their victims to the door before handing over the watch...
This one, however, is genuinely priceless; if I don't fix it, my mum in law will kill me... :-(

    ...

I think that's how these straps have to work. Some problem with the thread? Try rotating and pullin at the same time?
