Or do you think that I think putting it in for an MOT will tell us what it's failing on, the garage will then say repairs for this will cost £X & I'll say yes/no based on that?
Having already taken the car to them to ask them whether it's doable to get the car back on the road & be legal.Car_54 said:B0bbyEwing said:
I can get a plate for about £5 but annoyingly that has to be an EV plate & Google says it's illegal to use an EV plate (green edging) on a non-EV car.
So you're saying AI response isn't so I then?0 -

AI responses are full of issues so at best are an initial guide and at worst completely wrong.
The actual regulations appear to beThe Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001.
I started reading through them but on a phone display they aren't exactly easy to read but suggest if you want a definitive answer you start here.0 -

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
