"Description on website was not accurate"
I would pick this option as Amazon should provide a paid return label.

Performance no adequate might require you to pay the return.

If you don’t return stuff often, buy a lot or are a Prime member and the radio goes back in good condition with all the accessories hopefully it won’t be an issue 🙂
As I said I very, very rarely buy online; maybe a couple of items or so every couple of years and usually nothing too expensive.

Performance not adequate or Not useful for intended purpose - but the first sounds more forceful.

Do you have a returns label?
If not they are on the website for printing out. Took me an age to find it and in the end I got the help of the ladies at the library to help and printed it there.

I agree that Amazon don't usually quibble. They don't have time money spent on resources like that.

Lay the packaging bits out take your time and do it bit by bit. It should become more obvious then. Sometimes they don't fit quite right but as long as it's wrapped against damage you're good to go.
I can but try and cross my fingers!

Are you sure it is a radio issue and not a BBC issue?
It is the radio, and as from the reply from Roberts they have found the same issue.

I have full strength signal on all national BBC radio stations and it works as it should on my other two radios and the third I've now subsequently bought.

As it happens this was the radio I wanted to buy originally, but as the reviews were so good for the Roberts I thought I would save - and quite a bit - of money.

    Hello again,
I've gone down the 'Performance or quality not adequate' route as suggested and on the next screen it says:
'Comments(required)' and in the fill-in box, 'Describe what's wrong with the item'
This is in 200 characters and I don't know what to put if you look at my original post detailing the issue.

Nothing against the good help I've had here so far but I'm now getting properly stressed. I've since bought another radio, which I really shouldn't have done I suppose in case my return was rejected and so I guess I'd have just had to have lived with it in that case.
    Any ideas please?

Personally i would write one sentence you don't need to be very descriptive they probably don't even read it. Only once have i had to discuss a return with them and that was for fraudulent goods.

Seriously don't stress. You can put "didn't like the colour" and they wouldn't care. It doesn't need all the parts to go in exactly the right place, just pack them so they won't get damaged.

Your description of the BBC issue in less than 200 characters will be fine.

I've returned or been refunded for all sorts of stuff (legitimately) but I'm so surprised by what they'll accept. I bought mason jar that had a little stone baked into it. They accepted a very blurry photo and gave me a refund saying not to bother sending it back. And a knee support because I felt that it would dig into the back of my thigh - think I put too big. A pack of scissors got sent again because one of the pairs in the original pack had slipped out of the packet (teeny scissors). In short, if it's not what you want, then for whatever reason, they'll take it back.

On BBC radio stations, the programme info either displays for a few moments, seconds, or not at all, reverting to the BBC radio station logo on the display and that's it: you can't get the programme info back no matter what.

Thank you very much for both your kind replies.
The radio cost £160 and I've only got my state pension to live on which is why I'm stressing.
I'll throw caution to the winds and hope for the best.
    Thanks again.

Apologies, I didn't mean to diminish your experience, more that it's extremely unlikely that you'll have an issue returning it.

If they don't say they will pay for postage (they should give you an option to take a qr code to a post office to get the label printed), then (with our help if needed) get in touch with their customer service to complain a little.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your radio!

I listen to BBC Radio 2 via Freeview TV and sometimes you get the current artiste/song, but often the info isn't updated or runs slow. Sometimes just the station logo is displayed throughout the particular music programme, so a BBC problem not the radio

PS "Rambler Classic" is a rather odd name to bestow on a radio as the Rambler Classic was a mediocre 1960s American car
