Which model, platinum or something else?

Not realising water down the hose to the front blade or when using the handheld brush.

They need regular disassembly and cleaning or they tend to block. I do mine after every use.
It's a Platinum. I've been trying to use it with this tool:

Some water does come out of here when I press the valve in with a pencil, but its only a trickle. To be honest I don't know how fast it's supposed to flow.

Have you looked at the hose to see if it's not blocked?

Does the trigger work on wash and rinse cycle's when you turn the lever or button on the Vax?

I have an old Vax about 8 years old now and has the 2 tank system.

Does the Vax work on the carpet cleaning part and water comes out of the clean water tank?

I have one of these, and I have vague memory that it was not very easy getting the end of the pipe locked into the hole properly. I had to look up the instructions on the internet.

Is the cleaner  working for the carpet cleaning part ?( as also asked in the previous post)

You have turned the knob to 'wash,' on the tank, turned it on, and are pressing the trigger on the hose?

I'm experiencing a similar issue with my Vax carpet cleaner, except in my case, it doesn't pick up water at the head, even though there's sufficient suction at the opening beneath the dirty water tank. I've looked into all the possible causes—clogged tank, faulty float valve, air leaks at the hose connection, and so on—but none of the suggested solutions worked.

I contacted customer support and went through the same troubleshooting steps I'd already found online, only for the representative to conclude with, "That’s strange, it should be working—but we can offer you a small discount on a new machine." I've only used the cleaner four or five times, but since it's out of warranty, they won’t offer any further assistance.

Hiring a repair technician would likely be expensive, and without a car, visiting a repair café isn’t a feasible option either. It's frustrating that we live in a society where products are so easily discarded rather than repaired.

I used to fix a lot of these. Often it's a poor seal in the joints. If you get a rubber o ring then hold it in place and it seals you can then super glue it in place. Often the joint has a small gap due to poor design. Check it works first before gluing tho
