Council PCN - parked outside marked bay

Hi all
was given a £50 PCN by Wokingham Council today within Places Leisure Centre multi story for being parked outside the white lines
I basically parked next to someone who must have parked shunted along and left some reasonable space which must have gone over the lines - but still flabbergasted, seems like a overly keen Warden
any tips for an appeal? Or just lump it any pay the 50% early bird offer ?

Get advice on the Free Traffic Advice forum https://www.ftla.uk/ they specialise in council and police motoring matters, whereas this forum specialise in private parking issues.1

As we major on private parking tickets here, Free Traffic Legal Advice (FTLA) forum will be your best bet for council penalty charges. Register there but please note that a Hotmail address may not work - try using a throwaway Gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering, and post a new thread; here's your link:Read the sticky 'Read this first before posting your case' as well as reading through some of the other threads there ahead of posting your own details, to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate), as they need to see all the small print, and a Google Street View link. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Although it was a while ago, that was a waste of your time and you know a fair bit about what is wrong and broken with the private parking industry. So...now that you are here:
Seize the moment to get some revenge on the parking industry. This is your one chance to change the law.
This month only, we encourage you and any drivers in your family to be part of the push to change things in future. it's very important that people like you tell the Government that:
a) motorists have no faith in POPLA or the IAS and that there must be a SINGLE APPEALS SERVICE that people trust. The sector is crying out for an independent and impartial appeals service - not two involved in a race to the bottom - that will give a real option to resolve disputed cases out of court.
b). THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED. CASES ARE NOT SOLVED BY DEMANDING MORE MONEY AND OFFERING A 'PAYMENT PLAN' THAT ONLY THE VULNERABLE PAY. DRAS MAKE NO MONEY IF THEY HANDLE DISPUTES IN THE SPIRIT OF THE APPEALS CHARTER, WHICH IS WHY THEY ALWAYS PLOUGH ON TO COURT CLAIMS AND CCJs, RATHER THAN OFFERING REAL RESOLUTION AT PRE-ACTION STAGE. THEY OFFER NOTHING, NO LEGITIMATE OPTION TO KEEP CASES OUT OF COURT.
Tell them about the case where yiu were dragged to court. Responses are invited to the Consultation now:

We will discuss it further in a few days or at the weekend on that thread if you want more focus.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
