Best TV for Pensioner (no internet)

Options
I'd like to get my Dad a new TV (ideally 40-43 inch).

He doesn't have the internet but enjoys watching Freeview channels (I think he has a useful EPG on his current Panasonic 28" TV - not sure if the EPG is Freeview or Panasonic built in, guessing Freeview).

Can anyone recommend a good TV that has Freeview channels/used via aerial?

    Budget?

However no modern 40-43 inch is going to be especially top quality for picture and sound and all are likely to have smart features unless you pay the premium for OLED rather than LCD.

Panasonic may be worth considering as the UI and remote may be more familiar.  But they have some with the latest Freely streaming system incorporated or Fire TV from Amazon.

Some TV remotes have very small buttons cf Panasonic:  so interview a few alternatives. (Big button remotes exist but may not have all the needed functions easily replicated).

    Check out AVForums for recommendations.

And go along to a retailer who might care more and demo potential sets / remotes to you (and Dad, together).  i.e. not Argos/Currys/Tesco/Amazon etc.,.
