Another vote here for "nothing to worry about".

Perfectly normal consumables, on the type of car that they're going to be about the cheapest you can buy.

Tyres for an Aygo are about £65/corner for something worth buying, £50ish for cheap and nasty rubbish.
Brake discs are £40 each plus £30 for a set of pads. About an hour's labour while it's being serviced.

Have you looked at the older MOTs?
They'll only be 1 previous MOT so would be surprised if anything is on that apart from the tyres if they were cracked then.

If the price is right and it is a manual gearbox, sounds fine to me, the bite point of the clutch is high and takes some getting used to.

I had a 21 plate Aygo for 3 years and it was perfect, however I wouldn't touch a MMT version with a barge pole.

The tyres definitely haven't been replaced as there are obvious cracks. Let's face it, if you are planning on selling your car you wouldn't do anything that costs you.
    This is simply not true.

However if a dealer is selling a four yo vehicle car with cheap to replace tyres that have 'obvious cracks', I would simply ask them if they intend to replace the tyres. If they say no then walk away, plenty of other 4 year old Aygos on the market.

Dont get in a tizzy over £130, for two tyres. Ask the dealer to split the difference and you’ll sign for the car.

If he doesn’t agree, either buy the car or walk away. No more stressing over something so trivial.

Two year ago my car had corroded front discs, last year it had disappeared a miracle.
Just a nail in the tyre.
I do think the mot tester has to put down a few warnings every now and then.

Cracked tyres are dangerous, I cannot believe a main dealer would sell a car with defective tyres. As to an earlier suggestion to buy part worn tyres, that is a big no too. Tyres are seriously important and make a big difference in the ability to stop the car.

Is the car a Toyota Approved Used Car? ie one that has passed their 145 point check? If so, surely the brakes and tyres will be sorted before it is sold to a customer. It is normal for main dealers to not spend money on a car until it is sold, as it may be moved to another dealer on their network and they would have wasted money on servicing/repairs. I would be inclined to double check what the dealer is going to do about the MOT issues and cannot believe they really will sell it to you without fixing them for no cost to yourself.

The instruction from,  at the time, VOSA, was for the tester to approach the presented vehicle as a pass unless a failure defect was found.

Some may be perhaps more vigorous than others in this respect.

I assume it hasn't been checked. It was dirty and not been valeted. It had only arrived from being transferred the day before. I suppose the best thing is wait till tomorrow and when the sales assistant rings me ask this question.

I would want  new tyres.  These are probably the original ones.

If they weren’t prepared to do that I would walk away.

They may change their mind then.

    Cracked tyres are dangerous,

If that were the case in this instance, the tester would've recorded a failure rather than a pass with advisories.
