I even had enough energy left this evening to make 3 metres of bunting 🎪
I was never aware that energy is measured in bunting, but that's somehow how I read it. Much easier to comprehend than kilocalories, though. I think I will adopt it as a measure. 'Great day today: 4 and a half metres of bunting to begin with, and boy did I motor through!'I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I love this idea - I think we should measure everything in bunting. I'm up for another 3 metres this evening 😁

Excellent effort Fortune! ⭐
I am contemplating some tiny bunting - we are moving to hotdesking when I return to work 😬 and I want a small concerted effort to make my desk, however temporary, feel more like 'mine'. I suspect that will last about 5 minutes before I just start plonking myself at any anonymous workstation like everyone else, but I feel a bit of tiny bunting might ease the transition somewhat 😂5 -

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy
I had a blissful day yesterday - I went to a sewing workshop 😁 6 hours of uninterrupted stitching with help on hand. I was definitely in my happy place.
Two years ago a relative died and left me a small legacy. The estate was settled a couple of months ago and some money turned up in my bank account. I hadn't really had a relationship with this person (through no fault of my own) and Mr F and I agreed that the money should be used to buy the birthday and christmas presents I didn't receive from them during their lifetime, So far, I have bought an overlocker and a place on several sewing workshops. I've attended a 'get to know your overlocker' workshop already.
Yesterday's workshop was about making a stretchy garment on your overlocker. I chose to make a sweatshirt as I had the fabric and pattern already. I learned a lot and was very happy to nearly finish the sweatshirt on the day (it was my first time sewing on my overlocker so it took me a while to work things out). I didn't have the tension set quite right so my seams are a little loose and I shortened the arms by an inch too much (I obviously think I'm shorter than I am 😂) but I can rectify that by adding some bands at the cuff. I should end up with a wearable garment 👚
I almost didn't get there though. There are so many road closures in our area it's like navigating the Cyrst@l M@ze.
I took some leftover Harissa Halloumi for lunch and left the remainder for Mr F. I passed our little independent supermarket on the way home so popped in to pick up a quick supper and some ice cream as I was exhausted by all that stitching. Although... I did make another 3 metres of bunting after supper 😂
So the day didn't cost much (I'm not including my birthday money in the budget). However... I did try out one of the studio sewing machines while I was there and it was amazing. So much nicer than my reliable little budget machine I bought when I first started sewing. It's very tempting to upgrade. The studio is having an open day soon and there will be discounts for any machines bought on the day so I think I'll go along then and have a proper demo... and maybe... 🧵
We have a little unexpected rain this morning which has cooled things down a bit. It's due to hot up again later though 🌞
Have a great day all

Splendid use of legacy @Fortune_Smiles. I sometimes think that relationships can improve with people who've died, odd as that may sound. Love Humdinger xx4
