Thanks guys. @Humdinger1 - I have tried this previously but with no luck. This card company seem to be sticklers for the rules and it was my mistake after all. I've stopped beating myself up about it and will just be super careful in future. I appreciate all your support 😘

Glorious!
I had a glorious weekend - relaxing, uplifting and stress free. Just what we all needed. And to top it all, one of my gins won first place in the country show 😁🏆🥇 My £5 prize was quickly spent on charity raffle tickets which didn't win 🙄 but I suppose you can't win everything can you 🤭 I shall review the total costs of the weekend this morning but I think we've come in within budget.
This week feels like it will be the first properly normal week in months. I still have things I need to catch up on but they are manageable and I have a plan in place to tackle them slowly and surely. My focus this week is to:
- start to look after myself better. Self-care went out of the window while I was so busy with the legal stuff
- catch up on business admin. We'll be at our company year end before we know it so I need to make sure the accounts are ready for auditing
- continue with the Hearing prep
- prepare for a couple of social/leisure events.
I made a good start on the self-care yesterday by going to gym class, counting calories and ironing the freshly washed fabrics from my stash. I spent a cheerful half hour admiring the patterns and materials, imagining what garments they would suit best and pairing them with patterns I have. I finished the day with a bubble bath and an episode of Poirot - although it is still a bit warm for me to take a bath rather than a shower. I was very lobster like afterwards 🦞
Mr F did his specialty boiled eggs for breakfast, lunch was salad made with leftovers from the weekend and supper was
but I swopped out the turkey for some cod fillet. The green beans were from the garden. We have a glut of them so they'll be featuring heavily in the meal plan. I know you can freeze them but I haven't had much luck with that previously. Might give it another go.
We have had three or four rain showers in the last few days. I can't remember being so excited about rain before. But we so badly need it. The meadow and orchard are showing a little more green already and the countryside is looking less parched as a result. I read that it will be October before the ground water levels are back to normal.
Hope your week is off to a good start and there is a little rain coming your way too ☀🌧🌈

Lots of rain up here, the grass which was all yellow and crisped is back to green again. Congrats on your gin win, and glad you have enjoyed some chill time and self care. x

@Fortune_Smiles - have you tried blanching before freezing & freezing flat before bagging? I've done this to save a glut of TG2G beans and they turned out just like the frozen bagged ones. The do well in stews and cooked into rice - not so great in stir-fries but that is the same as the frozen store bought

We've had a little more rain today @teapot2 but could do with a lot more so send it down our way please 👍 It was my first time entering liqueurs in the show so I didn't have any expectations. I was absolutely delighted to win.
I have @rtandon27 but I'm not sure I did it correctly. I will give it another go. I absolutely don't want to waste anything with food prices as they are.

Morning @Fortune_Smiles, just catching up … congratulations on winning first prize with one of your gins.
I do love a country show, they remind me of my childhood. I used to head over to the WI stall, and spend my pocket money on a jar of bath salts tied with a ribbon and a butterfly cake. Sadly my budget did not stretch to the the knitted/crocheted poodle covers for the jar of bath salts, or the dolls whose dresses hid a loo roll 😂
Enjoy the rest of the week x

@Humboldt - oh my that did make me laugh - I fondly remember my Gran crocheting those dolls dresses to sell at the church stall - and yes she had a doll on the loo tank - dressed in pink to match the pink fixtures and tiles - it was as hilarious then as now! - she also covered all her metal hangers in some sort of polytwine rather then purchase satin covered ones.

Thanks @beanielou - it was supposed to rain here yesterday but I didn't see even a dribble.
We have a tiny bit of rain predicted for today @VintageHistorian and then nothing for another 10 days 😣 Everywhere here is very crunchy.
😂 I didn't see any poodle covers this time @Humboldt but I'll suggest them at the next meeting 😂
I thought those dolls were the height of sophistication when I was a child @rtandon27 😂
