Enormous apologies, particularly in view of the two replies. I am asking that this gets removed from the forum.
I shouldn't have posted. Bit embarrassing to post the details, my error. Very sorry. I take on board that we are not going to find exceptions to this decision.

You didn't make a mistake by including your son on your UC claim, that was correct at the time.
Many families struggle with the transition from dependant children to non dependant adults within the welfare system.
As your son is classed as a full time student, this means he can't get Carers Allowance either.

I appreciate you feel you aren't getting help, but you are getting help from Citizens Advice, Scope etc, unfortunately the answers are his full time education are a barrier to further benefits.
You could try Disability Rights UK who have a Disabled Students Helpline, but I suspect they'll only repeat what you've already been told.

Have you asked for budgeting help? Sometimes we cling to a previous way of life when instead we should be reducing expectations along with expenses.
Are there any debts you could get management advice for, to make repayments more affordable?
Is downsizing to a smaller property possible, so all your rent is paid? There are often financial incentives for those downsizing, I'd encourage you to make contact with your local council or housing officer.
Have you requested a care needs assessment for yourself?

Alongside this a carers assessment can be done for your son

Can only echo the advice above. Definitely might be time to really analyse the household budgeting and see if ways to save... MSE is a great source of advice for that. See if there are community larders around for example... here in my little town there are two or more... the one I go to £2 for 2 bags of food..twice a week. Look at utility bills and any excesses like unnecessary TV subscriptions... see if you can get a good broadband deal... a social tariff for example. It sounds like you're juggling a lot of balls.. I hope you might have someone you trust to sort of help bring some clarity and a sense of support."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

If you want a thread removing you need to contact the board guide to do so.
However, as someone who didn’t read your original post, the answers didn’t really give anything away on an anonymous forum, so I wouldn’t worry too much. You aren’t identifiable from your amended first post or any of the answers. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Your post was perfectly understandable and acceptable.... so try not to worry about that... we can all face difficult times and I admire your courage. As advised.. if you want the thread removed contact admin."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1
