Or those who buy near operational RAF bases because the houses are cheap(er) because of the aircraft noise.  Then complain about the noise.
Or complain of smell of manure in the countryside.😃
We live on the cusp between a small market town and the countryside, within sniffing distance of a pig farm when the wind is in the right/wrong direction.

When towny sis-in-law came to visit she stepped out of the car, caught a whiff of eau-de-pig and promptly announced that she "wouldn't stand for THAT"!  Still not sure what her solution would have been.

P.S.  Much prefer the smell of a pig farm to a human sewage works.

I also live in a very rural area, and on a couple of occasions we've had "incomers from town" complaining about the farm smells.  They were suitably chastised by everyone else in the village, along the lines of "what did you expect if you move to a rural farming area".
Maybe I'm odd, but I actually quite like the smell of cow manure (I know pig manure can be very different, though!).
But yes, give me farmyard smells over choking diesel fumes any day.
