Hi,

We send the email raising a complaint about the Motor finance Agreement, using the template on the MSE website. The finance company sent us the following back,

Please note you already have an open complaint with Claim Lion Law under the reference 147519.001/AL/LEO.

If you wish to raise the complaint with us directly you will need to contact the third party and cancel the complaint with them and send us proof once this has been done.

We have made no such complaint through this third party - is this some standard procedure that we aren't aware of?

Many thanks,

Becky

Not standard but the claims company didn't randomly guess your details.

Who is 'we' you refer to? Have you (or the other we) ever clicked on any of the hundreds of ads you see and inadvertently signed yourself up.

Sounds like someone in the household has been clicking on advertisement links, probably on social media, and given a claims management company enough details to initiate a claim on your behalf.

Did you every use them for PPI or something else?  Some have contracts that tie you in to multiple things?
Did you ever use facebook and click on a motor claim advert?  (this is the most common thing that happens)
did you enquire through them but never follow through?
