Confirming if following 'income' are taxable

Hi, happy new year everyone.
I'm an international student here in the UK, studying a course of 6 yrs. I'm sponsored by my home government, so my main 'income' is from them - a sort of living allowance. Then there are occasional gifts from my parents to me.
I wonder is the R85 form appropriate for me in this case (are my above income non-taxable?) My 'income' from the above 2 sources does exceed the 4895 limit.
I know there is this R105 form for Non-Ordinary Residents, but since I'm here for a 6 yr course, I guess it exceeds the 4 yrs allowed under R105? Also one of my banks don't accept R105, they said I have to claim it back from the taxman.
Thanks for your help!
