Is 3200G CPU very slow?

I've been using my wife's PC, which is an AMD 3200G based desktop system. Subjectively, it's much slower than my own i7-4790K desktop. Routine tasks take a couple of seconds, whereas they are practically instant on my machine. This is all office-type stuff. No gaming or videos.
The i7 is rather elderly, and benchmarks suggest there's not much difference between it and the 3200G.
Should I suspect something is wrong on my wife's PC? Or, are the benchmarks misleading?

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

8GB should be okay for the small amount of stuff she has open at any one time, but I noticed that 2GB has been allocated to graphics, so I'll change that.
I'll also do a scan with malwarebytes. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
8gb is a bit low, 32gb would be better, can it be upgraded?0

Upgrade RAM to at least 16GB will help. Is it currently single stick of RAM?
Any SSD?

Both RAM slots are full at the moment, so to upgrade I'd need 2x8GB.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Look at Task Manager Performance tab to see what's pinning the CPU or hammering disk. Remove bloatware AV and revert to Windows Security (aka Defender).0
