Cancelled flight due to weather

Sounds like the right end result, but for next time, should really ask the original airline (BA) to rebook you to something closer, whether that's their own flight or the Easyjet one. If they don't, then book yourself and ask for REIMBURSEMENT of the full Easjet flight rather than refund of BA + difference. Otherwise they *could* have refused the difference because they'd previously given a refund.

When reimbursing alternative flights, BA tend to refund the original payment for the flights back to the payment card, and bank transfer any difference across.
No idea why, but that seems to be their internal process!0
