Finally have a court date for parking in Starbucks and using McDonald’s or the other way round. Just wondering what’s best to send in the witness statement?

Well done for getting this far without needing to post! The recommended exhibits are listed in the WS & evidence section of Post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.

But we'll see you in a couple of weeks anyway,  to do the Public Consultation (...please) while your case is quiet, before it gets discontinued.

You can no doubt find that thread without a link. Please bookmark it (the one about the Consultation) & come back as we need another week or so to think about our 'recommended' responses to the Consultation a bit more.

What we won't do is provide a template, for obvious reasons. The Government wants individual responses.

Your witness statement is "in support of your defence as already filed" and therefore should be ............... in support of and back up whatever you put in your defence.  It is a narrative of what happened on the day and subsequently, written in the first person in your own words.  It happened to you so no one on here can write it for you.  Reduce the impact of anything negative and emphasise the impact of anything positive. It is also your chance to attach any evidence that you wrote about in your defence.  Read other witness statements to see what those posters wrote - particularly successful ones.

Thanks all, do we send witness statements to MET parking, DCB or both? I sent the directions questionnaire to both but was unsure if DCB need documents

As most judges know the MET Parking scam at Stansted, are DCBL trying it on again and a last minute discontinuation is on it's way.

Of course with such a SCAM claim, DCNL run a huge risk of being spanked by the judge

Other way round. Why are you sending anything to MET when they're using a solicitor?

DCBL are solicitors? I thought they were just debt collectors? Will send them the documents then

You aren't dealing with DCB Ltd. This is a claim from DCB Legal. Your claim form told you this. It says 'solicitors'.

Anyway, this month, as I already posted above, we need you to do this Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet. Please!

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.

I'm taking a closer look this week and we'll walk you through it. I should have all the first post 'how to respond to each question' advice ready by the end of this week.

There are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people won't think of/need focus. There won't be a template - the survey is for you to reply in your words - but we'll help everyone with what to focus on.

We hope you'll breathe a sigh of relief and vent at the government - their survey closes next week but I have now written guidance for every question. Hope it helps you do this final thing to make a difference and stop the rip-offs.
