I think the problem is that the OP has reached the end of his tether with BD

They wrongly wouldn't accept his cancellation of the item and then tried to argue that the lack of the original packaging reduced its value to zero.

BD haven't been reasonable or sensible and they've been difficult.

Perhaps the OP could be more cooperative but I can understand why he isn't.

BD just need to arrange a competent courier to collect the fridge.

Just as it can't be too difficult for a neighbour or friend to assist it can't be too difficult for BD to get it sorted properly. Fridge freezers are delivered and collected by competent couriers hundreds if not thousands of times a week.

Do you seriously expect the OP to wait around or organise other people to wait around for a company who messed them around previously by refusing to accept the return?

Or is the privilege of intransience and stubborn awkwardness only to be granted to the retailer ?

Looking at Builder Depot site, was this bought as a consumer or a business?

Was it bought as a single item or part of a larger order (such as new kitchen?) by a 3rd party installer, with OP paying them.
