  • Hi Coupon-mad
sorry for the late reply, I must've missed notification of the thread update.
Yes you are correct, the fine was supposed to be £70, however the claim form says £80.

  • Hi Coupon-mad
I had the mediation call recently, it was a bit scary, because the mediator was telling me that the case will go to court and that I will have to pay more in the end if I decide not to offer anything on this call. He said he deals with a lot of these cases and its not wise to take it to court, and that the parking companies have the right to give me the fine and their policies were approved by the hight court, and that the Judge will not rule in my favour etc...

Abso-bloomin-lootely right you should complain.  Use: -
    scmreferrals@justice.gov.uk

  • OK thanks Coupon-mad and Le_Kirk for the confirmation.
I did not offer anything during the mediation call, but it was a bit stressful, the guy sounded very confident in what he was saying, I was not sure at that very moment, if he is telling the truth or not. He said at the beginning of our call that he is not here to judge, but in the end he did and was a bit pushy.
Aright I am sending an email to
scmreferrals@justice.gov.uk , I remember his first name, but I don't know the last name (I remember he did not introduce his last name though)

As others have said this mediator's behaviour must be reported. Important to include your Claim Ref No and date/time of your mediation appt in your email.

    Hello folks,

I received this letter couple days ago. Looks like my case was allocated to a court hearing (but if I understand it correctly, there are some conditions the claimant needs to do first like pay trial fee and submit application etc…, in order to get this through to the actual hearing). Do many people get this letter ? How likely it is for me to actually attend the hearing ?

Plenty of victims get that letter, so study the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, the what happens next ( do not abandon that important information announcement )

Assume that it's going to a hearing, like this one
