Hello everyone

Random question, my partner and I both have iPhones on Vodafone, and for some reason we can’t call one another when in the same room at home.  Both have 1 bar of reception (but full Wi-Fi signal - and Wi-Fi assist is turned ‘on’).

we live in a small village with not that great mobile signal, yet can both call other numbers from the room we can’t call each other from?

Any ideas?  We’ve been through most of our settings together and all are the same on both phones.

Confused

I'm more confused as to why you were trying to call each other from within the same room to discover there is a problem?

Well the obvious question is "why would you....".

Not an iPhone user but I'd guess it's trying to use iMessage (?) because both phones are sharing the same Wi-fi signal?

Sorry I should have said, she’s not received a couple of calls this week she was expecting, and was struggling to ring out, hence the test

You could try installing apps like Signal or WhatsApp on the mobis and try voice calls on those. Some routers can block/break SIP-based VoIP calls which is what phones use when using 'WiFi calling'. Check if you can disable 'SIP ALG' on your router.

Is WiFi calling turned on, on her phone?
