Has anyone had same experience? I bought several cars on finance through a now closed Peugeot dealership. I have no paperwork as once finance was paid I destroyed details. Anyone able to help?

How long ago - can you go through old bank statements to see who your monthly payments were going to?Either that, or try phoning another dealership, see if they can help at all. It's a bit of a long shot, but I wouldn't be surprised if all Peugeot dealerships use the same finance provider - often (though not always) a third-party provider rather than Peugeot themselves.1

Tried Peugeot main dealership in Northern Ireland and they were no help at all, didn’t want to get involved. Also due to time limit am unable to get bank statements.0

. I have no paperwork as once finance was paid I destroyed details. The data protection acts also require firms to destroy records no longer required.Dealer has closed car businessIf the business no longer exists, then you cannot complain to them.

I have said elsewhere that this is gioing to be a problem for some. Once this started I doubt dealers have sat on their hands. I am sure that there are companies that lookng at their exposure decided they would not be able to afford it if the case went against them so have cut their losses. There is also the possibility that many so called claims will not produce any results - There is an assumption that every finance agreement was the same - I doubt that is the case.1

Its one thing to be told that DCA existed but most of those people haven't been told whether it was negative DCA, positive DCA or neutral. You cannot see the FCA awarding redress to neutral or positive DCA. Only negative DCA (the type that increased the rate)
