Tesco Discriminating

Options
Hi, I recently tried to purchase Aria Skyr Natural Icelandic yogurt on line. My shopping usually gets delivered from Huntingdon store.  But got e-receipt that it had been substituted for Danone Skyr instead. Luckily I had someone going to that store I asked them to check whether Aria skyr was in stock, but it wasn't but what I did discover was that instore selling at clubcard price for £1.25, but online no  clubcard price and selling for usual £2.50. Are you trying to discriminate people who cannot attend the store themselves, even though they have a clubcard. This form of profiteering from people who can't actually get in the store is not fair. If you are selling items at clubcard prices, these items should reflect online as well as instore.

This picture and online picture where taken today 04/08/25.
If I want to complain to someone about this, where do I complain to. Complaining online using the Tesco complaint form is pointless, as I have used that before many a times and no response ever. I used there X page, and whatsapp, no success.

It's often the case that online and store prices differ, and prices might also vary between stores - a Tesco metro may be pricier than one of their giant superstores - but people are still buying in person.

The picking of the product and delivery has to be factored in somewhere to the home delivery price.

Keep it simple, don't shop with them anymore.

    You complain to TESCO

@marcia_ Depends how you want to spin it, but technically it is discriminating against people who can't go actually into a store but still have a valid Tesco clubcard they can use.

@Emmia That's why you pay a monthly subscription on there delivery saver. I get store pricing may differ, but What prices are instore should reflect online in your account. Because when you log in to your account Tesco you are seeing the prices, from the store that delivers your food. Also because I have 2 large stores near me. I can go online, do a click and collect from either store, and depending which store I plan to collect from, Item stocks differ.

That is not how discrimination law works.

You do not get the pricing from a specific store for delivery, some offers are online only, others are in store only, most are matched across both.

The £4.99(off peak delivery)/£2.49 (click and collect) a month delivery saver doesn't cover the costs of delivery to you/click and collect costs... For example the staff time, the cost of fuel, wear and tear on the delivery vehicle. Those are all accounted for in the costs of the products, which is why they're higher.

Minimum wage is £12.21 per hour. Your £2.49 a month cost is less than 15 minutes of time to pick all your click and collect shopping in a month.

What is the meaning of discrimination?

ok so let me ask you, You buy a product online, £400 but If you had a membership card of that store, from where your item was coming from, if you buy instore with your card you get it for £200. but you can't leave the house, and no one can help you, and you buy this item regularly. how would you feel that I could've got this product for 50% less over a year  if only I could go to the store to use my card.
