Monthly Money Merry-go-round

I'm probably being cautious, but I allow five days for money to have gone into an account before setting it to go out (I think I based this on Easter weekend).
I used to do money shuffles for regular saver account access (a combination of hub and spoke and money passing through a few accounts), but I only have money going to Lloyds now as this is the only one (that I have) that has current account activity requirements. All these reward opportunities have passed me by.Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. Mine is a lot messier than this, but I check most accounts daily just to make sure nothing's going wrong - I find it only takes five minutes.
I will simplify it all when I 'lose' the Halifax account in October.
Also I always have payments which I KNOW are going almost straight out again going in at least one day before they're needed. I used to leave more time but I now seem to resent the fact that the account they're going out from pays interest, and most of the places they're going to don't.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Over the last year or so I've greatly simplified my money-go-round, mostly because falling interest rates make the game less interesting in both senses of the word! So I now have fewer regular savers and fewer "accounts with perks".
But I have always run it all on standing orders. Can't be doing with the manual method!0 -
I pressed the link to “What’s the secret to tasty home made pizza” and ended up here. I tried it again 4 or 5 times but still no pizza 😢😢😢0

I have just seen the front page with the pizza link.
And I have also seen the caption on the next link for this thread.
Monthly money merry-go-round.
Do you have routine for making the most of your money?
I think one of the MSE editors has very much missed the point.
I have to admit though, that was what I first thought. Something to do with monthly budgeting rather than recycing money through various accounts to maximise the benefits.0 -
