There appears to be very mixed advice online about this matter, some banks say they do check an individuals credit score with the CRA`s, but they also run their own credit scoring process alongside this.

According to Martins advice, which granted is from a few years ago now, this wasn`t the case in the past, maybe it is is now, I don`t know, I`m now as confused as anyone about this.

So, I will look into this with MSE, see if we can get a clearer answer, because the last thing we want to be doing is giving out incorrect or out of date information.

I shall update when I know more.

In the NatWest online banking app, there is a feature called "know your credit score" and it does show you your latest credit score and report from TransUnion.

Now whether NatWest can view this, I do not know.

NatWest can view your credit report if they need, they do not see the fake score.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
