Four month trip to USA

My daughter is studying in the USA for 4 months. Can anyone recommend a good US sim we can purchase before she goes? Thanks

Does her mobile phone support eSim?. This is usually the cheapest

I agree witht eh Esim recommendation. However, if that's not possible, there are several prepaid options from Walmart for example

Does she anticipate needing to make calls in the US, or just for data?
When I had an extended trip, I switched my UK sim to one with a good roaming deal for the country eg Three, £10 a month. That gave me the data I needed abroad while still being able to receive calls from home without switching sims nor paying for 2 sims at the same time.

If she'd need to make/receive calls from US numbers, then search for a cheap local Sim or eSim. I've heard reasonably good things about Tello.
