It's not meant to 'work'.
Nothing has changed. There's nothing in the NEWBIES thread saying "this will see the PCN cancelled". That's only true in a few cases and isn't the point of it.
It's just there if people prefer to engage/dispute, rather than totally ignore PCNs (and it gets a POPLA Code in cases where the PPC is in the BPA AOS).
But yours is an IPC firm where the clear advice in post 3 of the NEWBIES thread is that the IAS appeals system they operate is a farce which is neither considered independent nor impartial. By all means try the IAS if you really want to ... but don't use any template (there isn't one, for good reason) and don't expect to win.
The real dispute resolution is at court. Later. Hence if it was me, I would ignore NPC and only contact them with any change of address.
Ignore the £170 threatograms shown in post 4 of the NEWBIES thread. Come back if you get a LBC from a solicitor, or a Claim Form.
All of these stages are in the NEWBIES thread and always were. This is not new advice.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You follow the advice in the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, and respond by email to their info@ email address, same as everyone else
Its interesting that D Croot is now signing these, on top of his very heavy workload recently
Or
Given that anyone can add an e signature to a document, maybe a lackey like SE did the back office work and she or he added the legit e signature ?4 -
Is this Letter of Claim the same thing as the LBC / claim form you mentioned previously…ie the one that can’t be ignored?Gr1pr said:You follow the advice in the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, and respond by email to their info@ email address, same as everyone else

A Letter of Claim is an LoC, LBC or LBCCC , ir LBA , all the same thing, regardless of the current name in vogue at the moment, as seen in post 5 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum
Its NOT an N1SDT claim form via MCOL, so not a Money Claim , yet
Its your choice if you want to ignore this new LoC, either way it won't stop a Money Claim3 -
Ignore or reply. Makes no odds.

ok I received the N1SDT Claim Form
What next? Im a bit confused as to what type of defence I should go for? I wasn’t the driver only the keeper. ChatGPT telling me their NTK is NOT POFA compliant and hence they cannot hold the keeper liable? And also that ANPR times ≠ “period of parking”…is that correct? Chat GPT also telling me:
Your Defence is just the legal basis:
- Non-POFA
- No keeper liability
- No driver identified
- Penalty, not contractual
- Abuse of process (fake £70)
- Inadequate signage
- No contract formed
- ANPR not period of parking
Can someone that’s done this before let me know if the A.I. is hallucinating or it’s right and some guidance here as to the basis for my defence would be much appreciated.

I'm unsure why you looked at (bad and overused, hapless bot) ChatGPT, when you were following post 2 of the NEWBIES thread in November?
Go back to the proper resource.
It includes a Template Defence for everyone to use.
Why do people use AI all the time? I mean we all use it a bit but not if you are already on a specialist forum.

Yes, I hate AI with a passion (perhaps only slightly less than @Coupon-mad) especially as it looks like the shortened version of my name and after I read a post that a chatbot had acknowledged it had taken some of its info from this forum!

where is the latest and greatest template defence for the MCOL submission? Because there are so many posts in this forum I’m confused. And how do I know which template to use? And will it fit online in their “maximum 122 lines” or do I need to email it and if so to whom? Thx
