MSE Could Use a Dark Mode (and Better Layouts)

I want to start by saying I genuinely appreciate the fantastic work you do. MSE has been a tremendous resource. I do, however, have a few suggestions that I believe could further enhance the experience.

1. Dark Mode
A dark mode option would be a real improvement. With so many websites offering this feature, the absence of it makes MSE noticeably harder on the eyes, especially during extended browsing sessions.

2. Screen Space Utilisation
I use a wide monitor, and I’ve noticed that articles often occupy a very narrow column. Sometimes it's just 20% of the screen width, leaving the rest of the space unused. It would be great to see a layout that makes better use of the available screen real estate.

3. Weekly Email Design
The weekly email also feels quite constrained, appearing compressed whether opened in a browser, an email client like Outlook, or even on mobile. Combined with dense formatting using fonts, colours, and a lot of links, it can feel visually overwhelming and difficult to digest

Depending on your browser you should be able to change it to dark mode for the website.

2. Screen Space Utilisation

I find increasing the zoom level quickly fills the width of the screen.

Of course it would be nice if that happened automatically, but that would require even more complex coding..
