We wanted to let you know about a change that may affect how you use your TalkTalk mobile service.
From 28 August 2025, international calling will no longer be availableon your mobile plan. This means you won’t be able to make calls to numbers outside the UK after that date. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
You’ll still be able to use your TalkTalk mobile for UK calls, texts, and data. If you’re using your TalkTalk mobile abroad you can still use your roaming service when activated, including calling local and emergency numbers.
Here’s what you can do next:
If you don’t currently use international calling then it’s simple, you don’t need to do anything.
However, if you do use this service, then here’s your next steps:
If you’d like to switch to another mobile provider, you can request a PAC code (Porting Authorisation Code) to keep your number. Simply text PAC to 65075 from your TalkTalk mobile - it's free and you'll get a reply within minutes. If you decide to switch provider you can do so, without incurring any charges.

Do you make international calls from your mobile? Rather expensive isn't it?
If so, consider using a service like Rebtel, where you get assigned a UK number for each overseas number you set up. Almost certainly cheaper than calling direct from your mobile, especially if you have free calls to UK numbers in your mobile package.
If you and the person you are calling both have internet, there are free calling services.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
