Budget Planner Sheet Password

Hi
Can anyone help please! I could not find any threads about this issue.
I downloaded the free budget planner on MSE site on 30.7.25 but I am being asked for a PASSWORD to customise my template/spreadsheet. I do not have a password.
I did download the free budget planner on MSE site many months ago (around March 2025) and had no issues back then, ie: I could customise the excel spreadsheet just fine. No unprotecting was needed with a password.
ALSO .... I just noticed that - when I used the budget planner sheet in March 2025 - there was an error in the calculation. That's a separate issue obviously but though I would mention it as its pertinent to me.
Thank you
Regards
R MAIR

I don't know what link you are referring to (it would be helpful if you could include a link), but are you perhaps viewing a sheet on something like Google Sheets, and trying to update what is effectively the template? In this situation you should be saving your own copy to edit.Know what you don't0

Is it a sheet thats protected or the whole workbook?
If it's just the sheet then a google will give you a 3 minute set of instructions on how to unprotect it without the password.0 -
I downloaded it and saved it in my usual place for Excel spreadsheets with no problem, all I had to do was "enable saving" which is usual for anything downloaded from t'net.0

Hi I also need help with this (not to edit, but to add formulas)

You could try Excel for dummies, either from your local library or a free download (if you can find one that is genuinely free). Alternatively, which formulae are you needing help with?luc88 said:Hi I also need help with this (not to edit, but to add formulas)0
