Count me in, please, @elsiepac. Thank you for the new thread.
Our August budget will be £176.40.
This includes our July overspend of £3.60, which I've deducted from the August starting budget of £180. (Note, we're increasing our monthly GC budget by £20 to £180.) Our month will run from 1st to 31st August. Our budget covers (virtually) all supermarket spends, including toiletries and cleaning products for two adults.

Thanks for putting together the thread for us @elsiepac. I hope you’re doing well. Let us know how you are x.
I’m going to try notching back down below £400 again this month. I think / hope this will be a slow month in terms of entertaining and special occasions but we're restocking on some bulk stuff. Please put us down for
£400 for August 1 — 31 for us (2 adults).
I have a Tesco delivery coming tomorrow evening that will shave about £80 off our budget straight off the bat. I also just remembered I put in an Amazon order for a few bulk supplies which will arrive this weekend and should be roughly £30. I’ll count them when they get here. Good luck everybody!

Could you put me down for £550 please.
Hoping to keep the budget down despite the kids being off as we've got plenty in the store cupboards and I'm going to utilise the community grocery more whilst I'm off work. Got a small home delivery coming tomorrow evening to start the month off.Grocery Challenge 2024

Hi all,
After a year of a tricky living situation meaning budgeting was all over the place I am returning to the fold.
@elsiepac please put me down for £400
Single mum to 1, first month tracking for my new setup, no real idea but have worked on roughly £80pw and a Musclefood order (which I've now done).
We've a festival and a holiday to Ireland where we will stay with family for 10 days this month. Both will involve bringing\buying our own food and that will come out of the grocery budget, with any meals out\take aways etc coming out of a separate budget.
Groceries for me include cleaning and toiletries bought as part of my main shop.
I did a store cupboard stock-up in July when I moved into my new house, but only got a freezer today so starting from scratch with meal prepping etc.

I'm sticking with £250 for August please and I've increased the household / dog budget to £75
This is for me along with 2 adult children who spend half their time at home! I have a separate £75 budget for my dog and household cleaning and toiletries.
I really appreciate being part of this monthly challenge - it is definitely keeping me focussed and I came in over budget in July I am not unhappy with it.
Good luck for August everyone,

Well I lost the plot completely in June & July, due to being stupidly busy, mostly by my own choice! But August is, on paper, calmer, so it's high time to exert some self-discipline & get back on the budgeting wagon. As it's a 5-week month for us, I'd like to aim for
£550
please, to feed 4 adults & passing family & friends. We do have a few birthdays & a new grand-daughter expected towards the end of the month so there will be some celebrations, but in general we pretty much stay put for August; our roads will be clogged with giant RVs and our beaches with well-baked (but sometimes half-baked) tourists so this is the best time for us to keep a low profile & enjoy the garden & allotment! There'll also be foraging & preserving to be done; it's all quite early this year.
