I purchased a new kitchen and was supposed to be delivered between 11 and 12 .
The kitchen never arrived until nearly 6pm and I've had to pay my joiner a days work as well where booked in .
There was numerous things missing from the kitchen and it was also measured wrong.
They are saying it didn't fit due to me having plastering done .
The measurements are still the same size as they where .
It's there measurements what are 10m to big .
I have 2 other kitchen designs from other company's what also show these measurements and they are same as ours .
The kitchen has taken over 3 weeks to complete due to waiting on stuff to be changed and having to come back n fourth.
This has gave me 3 extra days labour with the delivery day to pay .
I took a loan out to pay for the kitchen and can't afford to pay the extra so have knocked it off the kitchen company due to it been there fault.
I'm trying to come to a fair agreement to sort this but they just keep blaming my work men .
I can prove it's them who have made the mistake and I know they know they have measured it wrong.
They have sent me a letter about court to fill out .
I've asked them to come round and re measure the outside wall in the living room as it's the wall that was wrong and it will be the same measurements and I can show them mkm n howdens measurements.
    I've had no reply
I don't understand why you didn't get the fitters to start work the next day.

Are you talking 10 meters, 10 CM's or millimetres?

As for measuring did you do this after the plastering had been done or before?

I also don't know how you can deduct monies from the finance company after you have the loan in place. Maybe you could enlighten us all.
    It's 10mil out

The money's not from a finance company it's my own money .
I haven't paid the final invoice as I've had to pay extra to get it fitted .
I didn't measure the kitchen they did and they where told the measurements where wrong before it was plastered.
The measurements are still the same after plastering it as it was old plaster board just replaced n skimmed.
The main issue is the corner post what's nothing to do with the walls that's coursed the extra work .
We even had to go make a new corner post out of a door they sent.
So this has to be done on a machine what they didn't have at my house otherwise the finish would have looked terrible .
in your 1st post you mentioned you took out a loan to pay for the kitchen.

I thought you meant finance to pay for the new kitchen through the kitchen company.

I can't see 10 mm creating all this hassle but then again.

Do you have any photos of this installed kitchen in your home to give members a better understanding of your issue's.
It's the corner post at 14m thats made it a nightmare.
Dishwasher hitting the oven new sink unit needed making or washer wouldn't have fit .
The kitchen been made to a very tight fit

What do you mean by the corner post? Is it a 925 conversion kit post as in a L shaped unit or is it just a spacer post.

Its very hard to understand the problem as you explain it. Who measured up, was it the company that supplied the kitchen? Did they give you the plan to check?

Did the same company fit the kitchen or is it your own joiner. Has the joiner made modifications rather than you getting the company who measured out firs to check. Why did the joiner go ahead if the measurements were wrong?
  • N L shaped corner post the kitchens bespoke.
    I used my own joiner.
The company re made the units n doors but sent a door to be cut down to make the corner post again.
That's the dish washer with the new corner post at 60 mil they had it at 14mil .
The sink unit has to be made to 600mil instead of 640mil and still the washer only just fits .
There Howdens n mkm measurements then that's there measurements.
    If they have uploaded

These kitchen designs are all completely different, different unit sizes/ locations, it's not like for like. Also, don't think you can rely on a property sales brochure for room measurements. There are always going to be mm differences in measurements from different people. You should have checked the measurements yourself.

It's hard to plan a kitchen, there is a lot to consider. Which way to have doors open, obstructions, access to everything. All things you should have considered before signing off on the design.

Im totally confused by your last post.

You need to take the personal info off your photos as we now all know where you live and your name!

Im also confused as to how you could have plans drawn up and dated 29/7and 2 days later say that not only has it been fitted but that its also had several modifications done and fitted.

    Is it finished now?

Don't forget the Court paper's from the kitchen supply company all in the past couple of days.

A lot of this doesn't add up or make sense.
