Just received a message to say my rolling monthly contract will increase from 7.50 - £13.50 next month , I have seen cheaper deals out there but concerned that l signing up to a contract affect my credit rating as next month I am getting all my files together to see if I can get a mortgage.
If I stick with EE and try to haggle lower will this mean a new credit check will be done ?
Currently on EE paying around £7.50 for unlimited Data / Text with 12gb of data which is enough for me .
any help would be appreciated.

Choose whichever package suits you most, your potential mortgage lender will not care in the slightest that you have signed up for a £7.50, £13.50 or even £40 phone contract.0 -
Duplicate thread. It really is better just to stick to one, in line with forum rules. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Ring up EE and tell them you are planning to switch as you can get the same or better contract with X company for £Y amount. Ask if they will match it.
You mortgage company will only care if you have been missing a lot of payments not that you have a new contract with someone, even if it's a new one with EE.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If you want to go “non contract” with the EE network, £10 per month with 1p Mobile gets you 50 GB of data, unlimited mins/texts and EU roaming with 14 GB of data. This is on a 30 day basis and no credit checks.1
