Flexible ISA to Stocks and Shares ISA

Options

If invest £x in a flexible cash ISA, at a later date within the same tax year can I withdraw that £x and invest it in a stocks and shares ISA with a different provider?

Will that leave me with £(20,000 – x) that I can still invest in another cash ISA with a different provider or does it have to go to the original flexible cash ISA?

The flexible provisions allow you to replace withdrawn money without it counting as a new subscription, but only if it's returned to the same ISA that it was withdrawn from and within the same tax year.

In other words, if you deposit £x, then withdraw and pay it into another ISA, your remaining allowance would be £20K-2x.
