There's lots of very happy Cosy owners in the 🐙 (unofficial) Facebook group so you can ask them for feedback. There's also lots of Daikin owners in the group. It's a good group so I recommend joining.
Was hoping to avoid setting up an account with that awful website, but many seem to suggest joining that group!

I believe you can ask for a Daikin from 🐙 if you prefer. I did!

    Let me try that!

I like the aesthetic of the Aira and that's it. I definitely don't like the financial set up at all. I also like the Vaillents but they're above my pay grade.
I don’t understand how they convince customers - maybe their machines are slightly efficient, but double the cost?

Possibly the same way that car manufacturers persuade people to purchase over priced cars with a posh badge or even expensive washing machines when a basic unit will do the job

And at the other end of the scale, you've got products like this. Imported from China and sold by an "official" reseller from a private eBay account:
I'd be tempted for a DIY install.
    N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.
    2.72kWp PV facing SSW installed Jan 2012. 11 x 247w panels, 3.6kw inverter. 34 MWh generated, long-term average 2.6 Os.
Not exactly back from my break, but dipping in and out of the forum.
