@subjecttocontract already done, if I hadn’t I would not know it went up 278%! and nothing changed our end. The point of the post has been missed totally, it was water saving tips.0

I appreciate that you were asking for tips and there have been some goods posted.
The experience of some of us is that big increases in cost/consumption have a reason. Yes there are some big increase in cost - mine by 40% - but yours is suggesting a leak.
Where actually is your meter - in the footpath or in your property. Have you read it ?
Edit . PS not forgetting those meter readings pleaseNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
