I say a 99p sim, O2 sim, 3p per minute talk and unused amounts just roll over. Am I correct?
Will this be a different phone/mobile number or how do i keep my current number?
Reads miles better than the Asda payg
It's a new SIM with a new number. If you want to move your current number you would need to get a PAC code from your current network and "give" this to O2. The mechanism for doing this isn't obvious, the myO2 app craps out when you access the relevant page, maybe online, maybe phone call. I've never bothered, the devices I have O2 Classic SIMs in are not my daily phone.
If you are currently with O2, tough - probably possible to swap via another network but it's really not worth the hassle.
Re comparison with Asda Mobile - obviously the PAYG charges are less but there's no VoLTE or Wi-fi Calling or 5G. Decent roaming allowance of 25GB - Asda's 5GB.
And what @Frozen_up_north said - O2 could kill this tariff tomorrow.1 -
On about the classic sim, iv just looked in my settings and there is now a toggle appeared on it saying 4g calling. Its switched on by default.
Does this mean volte?

02 could kill it tomorrow with the appropriate notice.
But so could any company and any tariff.
Looking through 02 t&c, I couldn't see what the notice period would be or how much they could increase charges by to make it uncompetitive.
Although as previously mentioned 30 days would seem about right.
What would happen to your remaining balance if the tariff did go?0 -

Does this mean volte? Can I use WiFi and 4G Calling on Pay As You Go?
WiFi and 4G Calling isn’t available on Pay As You Go at the moment. It’s available to Pay Monthly Consumer and Business customers with compatible devices and services
Not sure how you'd test to see if it's changed and O2 now support it on PAYG. It generally goes hand-in-hand with Wi-fi Calling - is that working?0 -

But its funny that the toggle has only just appeared on my phone..
It wasnt there last week.0 -
I was put off using O2 two years ago after I began receiving emails indicating someone had signed up for a mobile contract using my name and email address but with a different home address.O2 clearly don't bother to validate home addresses for new contracts. It took weeks to sort out.O2 customer service is the worst I have ever encountered.I vowed never to use them.

I brought a 20p one off ebay 3 weeks ago. 2 sim cards sent with consecutive numbers. I do have a dual sim phone. They say sims need to be activated by April next year. Put one sim in my phone 2 weeks ago. Got a £10 top up voucher last week and added it. Havent called or text from it yet as i have credit to use from another company first but by the emd of the month i will use it to make calls at 3p a minute. Plus some data.0

But so could any company and any tariff. They are unlikely to "kill" anything, what may happen is they move the customers to their standard PAYG, which is called Simply Pay As You Go and is a whopping 55p per min, as opposed to 3p per min on their Classic. You have to wonder how long are they going to keep Classic going...

There's seems to be plenty of competition to keep classic going when you can easily get Labara for unlimited for a £1 a month on a rolling contract for seven months.0

I would advise anyone considering Lebara to read the threads on this forum relating to their data security and SIM fraud issues.0
